XbotGo Sports Gimbal And T1 Tripod Review

I recently received the wonderful XbotGo Sports Gimbal and T1 Tripod and I absolutely loved it!
It was exactly what I was wanting, which was a gimbal that folds down and lets you attach a tripod.

I took them to Los Angeles for a month, and they were my go-to for every photo and video I shot. The gimbal’s 3-axis stabilisation is brilliant and works well which is perfect for fast-paced activities and sports.
It keeps everything smooth, even if you are moving around or if your target is moving.
The weight is perfect and lightweight for a gimbal of this type. The fact that it folds down too makes it just what I wanted as you can fit it in a bag or even a handbag like I did! That is something you can’t do with many gimbals as most don’t fold down and are heavy.

One of the best features of the XbotGo Sports Gimbal is tracking mode. It will lock onto a subject and follow them perfectly smooth, which is brilliant if you are filming sports and action shots. I didn’t have to constantly adjust the camera—it did the work for me.

The app which is available for Apple iOS or Google Android, adds more features and lets you use things such as tracking, AI-editing, free live streaming and cloud storage. It also lets you use features such as a live scoreboard feature which is perfect for sports.
If you have an Apple Watch, you can control is via that too using the app!

The T1 Tripod is an absolute brilliant companion and highly recommend it. It is sturdy and quality made. but also pretty lightweight for its size, and it is really easy to pack away as it folds down from a full size tripod to a small tripod, so you can use it for multiple things, anything from filming sports, films, vlog posts or just sitting it on a table and using for things such as TikTok videos. It can do it all as it can be put into so many different heights!

I honestly love this set so much.
If you’re into sports or action shots, the tracking feature is a huge plus. Highly recommend it for travel and active filming!

You can purchase the gimbal on it’s own or as a set with the tripod. If you get both together, you get a discount on a bundle.! There are also other gimbals you can choose from if you don’t need one that extends to a full size tripod, although you can use the T1 as a smaller one if you don’t extend the legs, so it is great to have for future.

3-Axis Stabilization

3-axis stabilisation gives you super smooth footage. No need to worry about any shaky footage with this gimbal!

Gestures

Using the free app, you can set up gestures! This means you can do hand signals and the gimbal will react accordingly! This is such a brilliant feature and one many others do not have.

FollowMe Tracking

The intelligent tracking mode is one of my favourite features. Once it locks onto someone, it follows them so you don’t have to manually move or adjust the camera. If you are shooting sports, it makes it much easier and more professional. Just download the free app to set up the tracking.

Foldable Design

The foldable design is one my top features as it means you can put it into a backpack or handbag which you can’t do with most gimbals. No more bulky gear! This is a winning feature.

User-Friendly Controls

The controls are really intuitive and the joystick is very smooth and responsive. You can easily move the camera where you want with your thumb whilst holding the gimbal. The small remote lets you use the camera and gimbal from a distance as well.

Long Battery Life

The battery life is impressive and did surprise me. It was perfect for my month in Los Angeles, where I was out all day and wouldn’t be able to stop to charge it in the middle of the day. It just lasted a long time which is very good for those shooting long videos.

Compatible Sports

The app lets you set various types of tracking for different sports. The sports are:
Soccer, Basketball, Power soccer, Football, Lacrosse, Ice hockey and Fencing.

Lightweight and Portable

The T1 Tripod is designed with portability in mind. It’s lightweight for a tripod of this size and quality, making it easy to carry and without taking up too much space.

Adjustable Height

The tripod had adjustable legs, allowing you to set it at various heights. This means you can use it for things such as filming a sports match or even just filming things such as TikTok videos at home. It opens up to be a full size tripod, yet folds down to be a small one as well. The maximum height is 1150mm and it folds down to 295mm.

Sturdy Construction

The T1 Tripod is incredibly well made and very sturdy. Each section is study, no matter what height you set the tripod to.

Rubber Feet for Stability

The tripod features rubber feet that provide grip and stability on different surfaces.
