Planning A Month Long Trip To The USA

I am currently planning a month long trip to the USA for August-September this year. Solo travel of course as I only travel alone as I much prefer it that way.

Being chronically ill and disabled, it takes a lot more planning that it did when I wasn’t disabled.
This is sadly the case for the majority of disabled people. We have a lot more to think about when we plan as accessibility is sadly lacking all over the world still to this day.
Even just getting to the airport is a big thing and we have to arrange accessibility for that too so it takes a lot longer to plan and there is a lot more to consider.

I can’t walk too far nor stand long which hinders me the most as queuing isn’t usually accessible, so I have to book accessibility where I can for help such as on public transport.

I sadly don’t have an electric wheelchair yet, which is something I desperately need, but I just cannot afford. If and when I eventually get one, I will be able to do more things, as right now I am very limited as to what I can physically do and a electric wheelchair would help massively.
I have a crowdfund on my Ko-Fi for one, but I highly doubt and don’t expect a penny raised.

My vacation will be in various places all over California and possibly into surrounding states such as Oregon and Nevada.

I visit a lot of national and state parks as well as animal and other nature places. Those are my must do stops on my trip as nature is so important to me and the scenery there is so diverse and stunning.

I used to do large radius roadtrips in the USA where I would travel as much as 10,000 miles over 2/3 weeks which I loved, but as my chronic pain and chronic fatigue are worse than before, I can’t do as much. Plus I end up driving more than I do exploring when I do that, so I won’t be doing quite a big a roadtrip anymore. Still doing roadtrips of course, just not quite as dramatic.

I will be doing many other things too and will blog about it once I am on my trip. Keep an eye on my blog as well as social media. You can find all my links on my Linktree.
