Tour Operator FTI Group Go Insolvent

FTI Group have gone insolvent as of 3rd June 2024. They were the third largest tour operator in Europe.

There are many other companies part of FTI Group and the FTI Group website does say that group members will also be filing for insolvency.

It looks like if you have a trip starting or carrying on through 4th June, it will be no longer possible to have the holiday. This is taken directly from their website. Read below for a statement from the FTP Group.
Their latest update says: “All trips with a departure date from Saturday, 6 July 2024, will be cancelled immediately by FTI“.

FTI Group have posted information on their website for customers and they have set up a special site and phone number for customers.
All the information is on that site with a list of FAQ’s as well. You definitely need to read through that page if you are affected.

Website and phone number for customers affected by the insolvency:

https://www.fti-group.com/en/insolvency
+49 (0) 89 / 710 45 14 98

This is from their insolvency page:

Who is affected:

All services booked with the travel provider FTI Touristik GmbH are affected. This includes the FTI brand in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, the 5vorFlug brand in Germany, BigXtra Touristik GmbH as well as the car hire brands DriveFTI, Cars&Campers, and Meeting Point Rent-a-Car. Any services that have been booked via retail travel agencies, online travel agents such as Check24, Ab-In-den-Urlaub, HolidayCheck, etc. or on our own platforms (fti.de, fti.at, fti.ch, fti.nl, 5vorflug.de, drive.de, …) are affected.

Services booked with third-party providers (e.g. TUI, Alltours, DERTOUR, vtours, …) via any of the websites operated by FTI Touristik are not affected.

This is a statement by the FTI Group taken from their website:

Supporting travellers affected by the consequences of the insolvency is now a top priority for the FTI GROUP. A support website has already been set up at www.fti-group.com/en/insolvency as well as a support hotline at +49 (0) 89 / 710 45 14 98.
We are currently working hard to ensure that trips that have already started can be completed as planned. Trips that have not yet begun will probably no longer be possible or only partially possible from Tuesday, 4 June 2024. In cooperation with the (provisional) insolvency administrator yet to be appointed, a concept for the ongoing information of affected travellers and the operational implementation of the necessary measures will be developed in the coming days.
